REGISTER ONLINE FOR OUR 2021-2022 FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM
Our CCD program is all about the family. We invite you to journey with us through an exciting new year of faith and discipleship for your family. Together we will take a pause from our busy lives and celebrate our faith in a dynamic fashion that is relevant to the family.
This year, we will pray together, listen to guest speakers, serve our community, and actively work to educate the entire family in our beautiful Catholic faith. Families are a central focus of formation at Blessed Sacrament. Formed by our Eucharistic experience, Blessed Sacrament’s Faith Formation offers a support system for families of all sizes and make-ups, and partners with parents in fulfilling their promise to instruct themselves and their children in the faith of the Church.
Goals
Unlike traditional models of religious education, the Family Formation program brings the entire family together to pray, break open the Word of God, and share topics of our faith. Our Family Formation program combines:
Sacramental Preparation will be done at home in addition to participating in the Family of Faith program & parent meetings with Fr. Jon. Parents will watch videos and complete the lessons with their child at home. Additional instruction will be provided by our teachers to help the students prepare for the Sacraments (dates to be announced).
This sacrament will be offered to our 2nd graders.
Instructors: TBD
Confirmation will be offered to 6th & 7th graders this year. (We welcome students from BJAMS and other towns.) Confirmation classes will meet on Sunday evenings from 5-6:30 PM at the Parish Hall.
Instructors: Cathy Davis, Bill Keefe
Course: Decision Point Confirmation Program (Dynamic Catholic)
All volunteers working with youth must meet the Diocesan requirements for Safe Environment that include Code of Conduct, Background Check, and Youth Protection training. The parish provides Safe Environment education for students and families through a program called ‘Circle of Grace’, which is supported and mandated by the Diocese of Burlington.
